The Windows Defender firewall will block ICMPv4 Echo-Requests (Ping) by default.

To enable this, navigate to the firewall configuration, Inbound Rules then find:
“File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request – ICMPv4-In)” and enable it.

To open Windows Defender Firewall – Run “wf.msc”
