About

I am a cybersecurity systems engineer with over 20 years of experience.
As part of the millenial, xennial, or Oregon Trail generation, I grew with computers and the Internet.

My first experiences using a computer were at a very young age and at the time, the computers were simple text based systems that relied on floppy disks.

I started on DOS, eventually upgrading to Windows 3.1, and 3.11 - adding in the Netscape browser for Internet. I figured out how to interconnect my friends and I growing up so we could play multiplayer games when you were typically restricted to local LANs (LAN Parties).

Eventually Windows 95 was released, and at the same time high speed Internet began to become popular… Though at the time it was very common to simply plug in your computer into the handoff and receive a public IP directly.

This is when I began to get into networking and cybersecurity, as I would eventually strap in a simple Linux based system to act as a rudimentary home router/firewall, as well as a simple SMB file server.

I would eventually fall into a simple desktop support role and from there I continued to grow to where I am today, constantly looking for new and exciting challenges.
